Judith Valerie Yoga is a Raleigh tradition since 1990, offering yoga classes to people of all ages and abilities. Judith is a master teacher with full certification and over 30 years of experience.

Judith Valerie is an educator with over 30 years of teaching experience in Britain and the United States. She has been practicing Hatha Yoga since 1977 and teaching classes since 1979. Yoga teaching has been her professional livelihood since moving to Raleigh in 1990.

Judith was certified by the White Lotus Foundation in 1988 and at the 500-hour professional level through the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in 2002. The first 13 years of her yoga education were in the Iyengar tradition. Judith has completed four-week residential programs at the Satchidananda Yoga Center and the Himalayan Institute, plus a three-week intensive in Greece with Angela Farmer and Victor van Kooten.

More recently, Judith has continued her professional development with a variety of additional trainings. She studied Osteoporosis Intervention and Bone Strengthening Yoga with Kay Hawkins and Nirmala Lirmala, MD, in 2011. In 2013 she took a course in Yoga to Manage your Mood with Beth Hayden and Michelle Johnson. Most recently she updated her studies of Viniyoga with Gary Kraftsow. Judith weaves these learnings into her classes and designs workshops on these and similar topics several times a year.

After 30-plus years, Judith remains in love with yoga and teaching her eclectic-style classes.  She invites you to try a free class.
